Mtwalume is a small village situated on the KZN South Coast, approximately 87km south of Durban or half way between Durban and the Wild Coast Sun Coastal Casino Resort (both about 45 minutes drive in each direction).

Mtwalume is mainly a holiday and pleasure fishing village. The general appearance of the village is that of a rural wooded environment, with many indigenous flora and fauna. The main feature is the Mtwalume River which forms a beautiful lagoon where it enters the sea.

Mtwalume has excellent fishing spots, unspoiled golden beaches and a stunning lagoon.

The bigger towns, Scottburgh and Hibberdene have bigger shopping centres and are just a few minutes drive down the road.
